This afternoon we celebrated Kathryn's 12th birthday by going out for lunch at Koto's and then over to Rita's for Italian ice. Kathryn ended our time with her by getting her ears pierced. This has been 6 years in the making. She was supposed to get them pierced on her 6th birthday, but she chickened out. Her smile shows how happy she was to finally get them done. A great day with a sweet little lady.
This is such a sweet milestone in Kathryn's life. My father's birthday milestone today was not being able to finish his lobster. It was the biggest one he had ever been given for his birthday :)
