Book Review

I'm about three quarters of the way through this book.  I find the main character to be so real and raw.  He is a veterinarian living in a rural town with his wife and three children.  After his oldest child gets shot, his thoughts are consumed with finding the hunter who shot him.  I can't put it down, because I need to find out who keeps calling him and what the spaceship represents.  (I hope it is not a real spaceship!)  My favorite line in the book so far comes after his wife asks if the house can break apart when she hears creaking....  he states in fact it was his heart that was breaking in two.
